Yachts: Please visit again if you haven’t been here in awhile: www.marinetelecom.net and www.wifiyacht.net
3. February 2009 by admin.
Alan Spicer Marine Telecom… I’ve just made some updates to our two premier web sites: http://www.marinetelecom.net and http://www.wifiyacht.net. The idea was to make sure that the content was current and relevant, and to improve the readability of the sites. Also in mind was to make sure that contact information for email and telephone was easy to find.
I’m working with a new Marine WiFi Hotspot Sharing product in its version 6 release called the “Marine Wireless Bridge”. The product features higher power @ 400mW and ease of installation and implementation to get your yacht on WiFi Hotspot Internet Systems for everyone onboard.
I’m also working with the Ericsson W25 Cellular Terminal which allows you to share 3G GSM / UMTS / HSDPA Internet Access - as well as Cellular Voice for Analog Telephone Devices including PBX Systems - onboard your vessel.
I usually recommend doing both of these systems as it gives you the most options whereever your boat may travel. It also gives you cost savings if you’ve got existing expensive satellite Internet and Voice systems onboard as you can use the least-cost service (Satellite, Cellular, or WiFi) for any current location - as well as choose who has the faster connection. Often WiFi will be faster, in a better marina. I saw 12Mb/s in a marina the other day. So we’re all about giving you options for saving money on your communications services.
Please visit our two web sites… if you haven’t been here lately:

* Also please visit or bookmark our RSS feeds for two blogs (running simulcast while transitioning to Wordpress):
