ASMT Supports the Products we sell

29. July 2009 20:53 / Leave a Comment / Alan Spicer

A lot of businesses will sell you all sorts of things. Often times they’ve never used the product they are selling you. If you call them or contact them and ask:

How do I do … ? How do I use this for… ? They will often give you a dumb look.

Dumb Looks are Still Free after all.

ASMT doesn’t give dumb looks though at any price. Sorry we just don’t have them.

ASMT has seen, configured, and “lit up” for actual use the products that we sell. We have the documentation, often a lot more than anybody can get, for everything.

ASMT helps customers through the life cycle of the products – from installation, to use, to service later on if it ever fails – including assistance with the red tape often associated with warranty service. Lost your receipt? Bought it from ASMT? We got you covered.

Alan Spicer – I may not be a very good salesman – but I know how stuff works. I know to make solutions out of otherwise arbitrary boxes. And I generally know which boxes are the best ones to use. I know how to build networks – both wired and wireless. I know how to solve problems when networks give you trouble. That’s why I offer for sale my 1 Year Consulting and Support Agreements. They are an excellent price for what you get. Even if you used it only twice. It’s worth that. Email and Telephone Support are great assets to have for your 3G and/or WiFi Network installation – and even for those that have DSL or Satellite or other systems in place. I generally know how they work and how to use them to your advantage for cost savings.

Alan Spicer Marine Telecom International

29. July 2009 20:36 / Leave a Comment / Alan Spicer

Alan Spicer Marine Telecom can handle all U.S. and many International locations for Sales and Support of the products that we use.

The price has been recently reduced on the Ericsson W35 for a limited time. These Mobile Broadband Routers are very popular on Sail and Motor Yachts as well as other Marine Vessels. They are also excellent at Remote Data Acquisition jobs, Remote Telephone or Temporary Telephone uses (with the added benefit of 3G Fast Internet HSPA), as well as other Landline and Internet Replacement – and Mobile Broadband / Telephone applications.

ASMT also features Marine WiFi Hotspot Broadband Router (Internet Sharing System) for Sail and Motor Yacht installations as well. It’s a sealed unit for installation above or below decks. It has higher power and receive capability than most WiFi Cards in Desktop or Laptop Computers. It can save you money on those hotspots that are pay – by sharing that same signal with multiple users laptops onboard a marine vessel.

That’s not to say that this WiFi Hotspot system could not be used on land as well – you could see applications where you put an outdoor gain antenna, even directional (e.g. Yagi), and pull in a WiFi Hotspot Internet signals to share on a Local Network within the Home or Business (or other Building.) It could be used to span buildings – let’s say the Main Building has High Speed Internet via DSL, T1, or such – and Building #2 (and #3, … etc.) does not. You put a WiFi Hotspot sharing router in other building(s) and and share the connection from the 1st building.

Please in your travels online, on the water, and on land … give my business card and flyer the widest possible dissemination. Please give it everyone you can think of. I sure could use the business this time of year … a lot of people on vacation and a lot of the boats have flown north for the summer. Any referrals are definately appreciated. If you need a discount for a referral let me know. Any support agreement renewals – I need them now! Any new support agreements call for a discount – but do it now! :-)

Thanks,

Blinky Lights! Inside the WiFi Hotspot Sharing Router System

No you don’t see these – but they’re still cool, right? We might

be working on a version of this that allows viewing these LEDs.

W35 Side Large

Ericsson W35 – looks much “cooler” than the W25 system unit. A lot smaller too.

* You could put one in your boat. You could put one in your house on your desk – for when the DSL or Telephone Lines go down. Your friends will think you are so high tech! And when you show them that they can get on YOUR Internet through this thing with their laptop, smart phone, or pda – they will be really impressed. They might even buy you lunch?

* Thanks again,
