We are very excited about this product for the marine market … Peplink Multi-WAN/Internet Routers allow you to easily manage Multiple Internet Connection Systems on a Sail or Motor Yacht (and other marine vessels) – from Satellite to Cellular, WiFi, 3G and 4G. Allowing you to use the most appropriate one (most cost-effective) for your current location. In dock you might use WiFi where available or 3G / 4G Cellular Data Internet. Underway you may have no choice other than Satellite (VSAT, Mini-VSAT, Fleet Broadband, etc.)
What kind of Peplink Router you need may depend on how many WAN ports you need – in other words how many Internet Systems you have that need to be managed. Here are the current Peplink Multi-WAN Router Products:

or email: communications @ marinetelecom.net. The Pepwave AP One Wireless Professional Access Points can be managed by Peplink Routers so that all of your Internet and On Board Network Management is in one place. Please also see the Peplink – Pepwave Max below …
The Pepwave Max Flyer is here: visio-2012-flyer-pepwave-max.pdf make sure you get a copy of this!
And here is the brochure (data sheet) – Peplink – Pepwave Max Data Sheet
The Pepwave Max is basically an all-in-one Control Center (it’s a router, it’s a network management control center, it’s the “Internet Switch Box”) all rolled into one sleek unit. It can run on 12 and 24 vDC (Yacht Engineer / Captain note this!) or 110vAC via the included power adaptor. You can tie in DC power directly to the green input block on the front … and put it on your DC Power Grid. Or if AC electrical power is more convenient that’s easy also.
* Many have tried it – but THEY have done it … Built-in 3G Worldwide Capable Cellular Modems, there are TWO (2)!!!! It also has another revolution that it handles both the old standby Verizon and Sprint style Cellular Internet (CDMA-EVDO) as well as the AT&T and T-Mobile style Cellular Internet (GSM – UMTS – HSPA – High Speed Packet Access!) The GSM side takes Sim Cards … and there are 2 Sim Card slots built-in. Those boats that run with 2 Sim Cards for continuous 3G Internet service with the 5 Gigabyte Limits by the Cellular Carriers … You swap your sim cards when one runs out. Well no more!!!! With this box you can program it to swap sim cards for you when the 5 Gigabyte will run out, and it will automatically switch to the other card / account and run on that for 5 Gb worth of data.
The System also has the “External WiFi” built-in. With this system you don’t need a separate WiFi system to get Hotspot Internet onto the boat. Just install an external WiFi Antenna and coax cable (no radio / router needed) and it’s IN THERE!
Set priorities of available connections. Save WiFi Hotspot configurations for repeated use … Disable and switch connections with simple drag-and-drop and “Connect” buttons in the Web Interface … from anywhere on the boat.
Want to use 4G Internet? You can either connect to a 4G MiFi type little box (if you have one) with the built-in WiFi Internet Connect capability and share that onto the boat easily … Or you can use a 4G USB Stick from your cellular provider and share that 4G connection onto the boat.
* I have made a drawing of potential use of the box, as a Flyer, please see it and pass it on (it’s also PDF for download ^ above ^) – please pass it on to your captain, engineer, and other yachting friends. Here is the drawing that I made:
